PDL-Mel

Melody, or Mel as she prefers to be called, grew up in Castelia City and has tried everything at least once. She's tried contests, gym battles, ranger academy and has lost interest in each and every one. She's constantly on the lookout for something interesting but other then that spends her time lazing about reading the paper.

Her mother works as a cop in Castelia City and Mel has long since been taught basic self defense.
Her father works as as part of the construction crew working in the area between Castelia and Nimbasa, often taking Mel out with him on site, even having her work on-site once she was old enough.

Turnip (Raticate)
Ability: Guts
Turnip is Mel's first Pokemon, found foraging through Mel's trash cans. Seeing how Rattata were easy Pokemon to find, catch and raise, Mel wasted no time in recruiting Turnip as her first Pokemon. Since then Turnip has grown into a huge Raticate, little more than double the size of normal ones (in terms of weight). She's often found either sunbathing or eating. While stubborn and sometimes difficult to deal with (particularly when she doesn't agree with you or when Mel is being threatened), Turnip is a sweetheart, relaxed and easy-going like her trainer.

Castiel (Audino)
Ability: Regenerator
Item: Shell Bell
Castiel is the cause of Mel's short stint as a co-ordinator. Mel ran into Castiel when working with her father one summer who works in the construction area between Nimbasa and Castelia. Mel ran off during a lunch break and ran into Castiel while exploring the areas outside of Nimbasa. She packed up at the end of the summer for Hoenn to try her hand and contests and quickly found that Castiel preferred battling, having a knack for it and a slight sadistic streak. Castiel is clever but short-tempered and suffers no fools; don't come too close without good reason or he will start biting or spitting poison (depending how much your presence irritates him). He can often be found with his nose buried in a book or reading the paper over Mel's shoulder.

Pepper (Darmanitan)
Ability: Sheer Force
Met the same summer Mel met Castiel; Pepper wasn't used for the longest time, often treated as a pet more than anything else. As the youngest of the team, Pepper is used to being babied. She's recently evolved and is still getting used to the longer limbs, having discovered a love for battling. She's eager (something too much) to use her new abilities and doesn't quite know her own strength. She approaches battles by rushing head-first without much thought, much to Castiel's irritation. Pepper is sharp, curious and eager to please.
